Sally

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 26, 2026

This policy explains how Sally collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app or this website. Contact [email protected] with questions or data requests.

Information we use

We store your profile name, email, avatar, and account identifiers. When you connect Google accounts, we store authorization tokens and information from your selected calendars, including event titles, descriptions, times, locations, attendees, and responses. We do not request Gmail access.

With location permission, Sally collects precise location, including in the background, movement, visits, and travel information. We also store places you save, changes you make in Sally, notification tokens, and operational logs.

Why we use it

We use this information to sign you in, sync calendars, display and edit events, plan travel, send reminders, recognize arrivals and departures, provide sharing features, and maintain and secure Sally. Changes are sent to Google Calendar when authorized.

Sharing

Your profile is visible to other Sally users. Event information and attendance can be visible to Sally users associated with the same event. Your linked partner can see location and visit history; the Share calendar details setting controls whether partner busy blocks include event titles and precise places or limited busy-time and approximate-location information. Place information may be reused in Sally’s shared place catalog. Uploaded avatars are accessible to anyone with their image link.

We use service providers for hosting, maps, authentication, and notifications, sharing information needed for those services. We may disclose information when required by law or to address security or abuse. We do not sell personal information, use Google data for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Google data

Sally follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, when using or transferring Google account data. Human access to Google data is limited to your consent, necessary security investigations, legal obligations, or uses otherwise permitted by that policy.

Controls, retention, and deletion

You can disconnect Google accounts in Settings or revoke access in your Google Account. You can change location and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Disconnection stops future access through that connection; it does not automatically delete all previously stored information.

We retain information as needed to provide Sally and maintain account history. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated data, email [email protected]. Some records may need to be retained for security or legal obligations. We use encrypted connections and encrypt stored Google authorization tokens; no system guarantees absolute security.

We may update this policy and will post the current version here.
